Atlantic Rainforest
The Atlantic Rainforest, or Mata Atlântica, is one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth, stretching along Brazil’s Atlantic coast. Though smaller than the Amazon, it is home to thousands of unique plant and animal species, many found nowhere else. This ancient forest spans lush mountains, coastal plains, and waterfalls, offering visitors incredible opportunities for ecotourism, hiking, and wildlife spotting. Protected areas like Serra do Mar and Tijuca National Park make it easy for travellers to experience the rainforest’s natural beauty while supporting conservation efforts.
