Fly to Rio de Janeiro. On arrival you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Golden Tulip Regente.

Day 2
RIO DE JANEIRO (B/L/D)

Visit the most famous landmarks of the Rio city – an essential part of holidays to Rio de Janeiro. After a scenic drive along Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, passengers arrive at the bottom of the Corcovado Hill. We will embark on a comfortable train which will climb the mountain where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located (2,300ft above sea level). Upon arrival at the top, we have mechanised access, with panoramic elevators and escalators that take us to the foot of the statue. We make our way down on the same route and head toward another legendary attraction included in any well-crafted Brazil tour itinerary – Sugar Loaf Mountain. Rising up from a small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of concentrated refined sugar loaf. The tour is done in two steps by glass cable cars. The first cable car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 metres above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its islands. From Urca Hill, passengers continue in a second cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf, which rises 395 metres above sea level and offers a 360-degree view of the entire city, including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, the Corcovado and downtown Rio. These iconic sites make Rio one of the best places in Brazil to travel, offering unforgettable experiences that define a truly memorable trip.

ANGRA DOS REIS (B/L/D)

Enjoy a visit to Angra dos Reis, a stunning destination featured in the best of Brazil tour itineraries. The town is in the heart of an archipelago with more than 300 islands and countless beaches. The town of Angra lies in the heart of this paradise, some 130 km south of Rio. This spectacular view winds over mountainous terrain covered in lush Atlantic rainforest. Along the way, you’ll pass graceful coves, sandy beaches, and countless small islands surrounded by crystal-clear waters—turning the drive itself into a memorable part of your trip to Brazil. The town of Angra dos Reis has been continuously settled since the early 1500s. There are many lovely old buildings from the colonial past when the town was a great port and agricultural centre. A saveiro schooner waits at the dock to take visitors on a cruise of those many islands, stopping for a swim in the enticing turquoise blue waters.

This enchanting region is a perfect addition to any tours in Brazil, offering a mix of cultural heritage and tropical paradise that truly represents the best of the Brazil tour experience.

Day 8
IGUAZU FALLS – MANAUS (B/D)

On arrival in Manaus, you will be welcomed and checked in at the Amazon Eco Park lodge. Manaus – Capital of Amazonas, the largest state in Brazil, is a modern city. It is also the ideal point of departure for visiting the rest of the Amazon region. After dinner, depart the lodge in paddle or motorised canoes to appreciate the sounds of the jungle at night, with the possibility to spot small alligators (or other nightly creatures). Alligators are spotted because their eyes shine like small red lights. Once the alligator is spotted by the guide spotlight, the guide will try to catch a small alligator with his own hands and bring it onto the canoe, and a brief explanation of their habitat follows. The alligator will then be safely released back to the river. (No harm is done to any of the animals.)

Day 9
MANAUS (B/L/D)

As part of your Manaus Brazil tours, take a scenic boat drive down the Negro River, navigating along the shore of the City of Manaus, allowing passengers to view the Amazonas Theatre, the Port of Manaus, the Customs and the interesting aspects of local life - the houses on stilts. Your trip continues to one of the most fascinating highlights of Amazon River tours Brazil: the Meeting of the Waters. It is a spectacular junction of the Negro and Solimoes Rivers. From this point on, both rivers form the famous Amazon River that runs all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. The waters of the two rivers run together for about 12 km, side by side, without mixing. The phenomenon happens due to differences in temperature, density and speed of the waters of the rivers. Continue the trip on the Amazon River to the island of "Terra Nova". Evening return to the lodge.
