After breakfast, begin with a Calgary orientation tour, passing by Calgary Tower, Fort Calgary, Stampede Park, Canada Olympic Park, Heritage Park, and downtown. We will then take the Trans-Canada Highway west through the foothills towards the Canadian Rockies and to Lake Banff. Explore the rock formations along Tunnel Mountain Drive, then ride the Banff Gondola for stunning views from the summit’s boardwalk and 360° observation deck. Visit Bow Falls for great photo opportunities before checking in at Fox Hotel and Suites.
After breakfast, depart for Jasper National Park along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most beautiful drives in the world. As you travel, you will see glacier-fed rivers, lakes, valleys, and towering peaks. Arrive at the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest icefields south of the Arctic Circle. At the Columbia Icefield Centre, you will have lunch and begin your Glacier Experience, where you will ride onto the Athabasca Glacier with a guide. You will return to Banff early in the evening.
After breakfast the morning is free for your leisure. This afternoon sightseeing tour will take you to the 'Jewel of the Canadian Rockies', Lake Louise and the world-renowned Moraine Lake. This trip will leave a lasting impression of your holiday to the Rockies. Accompanied by our interpretive guides you will be able to capture the magic of these two pristine settings.
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Banff to Kamloops. Continue your travel west by rail towards Vancouver, through drama that includes steep slopes of the Thompson River and the churning waters at Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Upon arrival in Vancouver, transfer to your downtown hotel. Enjoy views of the city’s stunning setting—beaches, harbours, mountain parks like Grouse Mountain to the north, and the fertile Fraser River Valley to the south. Check in at Sheraton Wall Centre.
After breakfast, you will have the option of taking a half-day Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain Tour to experience Vancouver’s North Shore temperate rainforest. Visit the Capilano Fish Hatchery, and walk the iconic Suspension Bridge to Grouse Mountain for spectacular views. Experience the thrilling CLIFFWALK, a series of narrow, glass-floored walkways suspended along the granite cliffside above the Capilano River. The remainder of the day is free for leisure and optional activities.
