Fly to Entebbe.
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to the Boma Hotel.
After an early breakfast, you will start your journey to Jinja. You will enjoy a boat ride on the source of the Nile. The Nile is a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa, regarded as the longest river in the world (6,853 km long). After the boat ride you will have a city tour of Jinja. Then we check in at The Haven Eco River Lodge.
After breakfast, visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here you shall have a walking safari to the Southern Park to trek white rhinos that have been reintroduced in Uganda. In the afternoon you will drive to the legendary Murchison Falls, from which the national park derives its name. On arrival, check in at Murchison River Lodge.
The early morning game drive will take you over the savannah, Borassus Palm Forest and grasslands to Lake Albert, from which the Albert Nile flows north. You will be driving across the open African landscape in search of lions, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, elephants, and many more, then spotting a variety of bird species such as the ceiling secretary bird, black-chested snake eagles, and more. In the afternoon you will boat up the Nile and view the spectacular Murchison Falls and hike to the top of the falls and view it where the Nile goes through a narrow 7-metre gorge and big Nile crocodiles are sunbathing below. This will create special memories of your tour itinerary.
After breakfast, you will drive to Kibale National Park; along the way, you will pass many tea plantations. You have the opportunity to visit a tea plantation. On arrival in Kibale, check in at Primate Lodge.
Today, track chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, home to over 1,450 individuals—the highest population in Uganda—as well as other primates like red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, black-and-white colobus, blue monkey, and more, totalling 13 species. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through the Bigodi Swamp for more wildlife viewing, or choose to relax at your accommodation or take a community walk in a nearby village.
After breakfast you will drive today to the world-famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, crossing the equator along the way. On arrival, check in at Enganzi Game Lodge Limited. Evening, enjoy your game drive.
Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to over 100 mammal species, including lions, elephants, hippos, leopards, hyenas, and the elusive giant forest hog, as well as primates like chimps, colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and olive baboons. Return to the lodge for a break, then enjoy an afternoon boat ride along the Kazinga Channel, where you'll experience the park's remarkable biodiversity—from open savannah and rainforest to papyrus swamps, crater lakes, and Lake Edward.
Today you will drive to the Ishasha sector located in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, check in at the hotel Enjojo Lodge. In Ishasha you will have a game drive in search of the unique tree-climbing lions. Only here do the lions have the habit of climbing the trees.
Today, drive to Lake Mburo National Park and check in at Mburo Safari Lodge. Enjoy a game drive upon entry, with sightings of impalas, zebras, and more. The park’s diverse landscape—rocky hills, savannas, forests, and swamps—supports rich birdlife, with over 313 species recorded, including the flame-headed barbet, long-tailed zitting cisticola, African Bins rail, and collared barbet.
After an early breakfast, you will start your journey back to Kampala, crossing the equator along the way. You will have time to take photos, buy a few souvenirs and have a quick picnic lunch. Then check in at the Boma Hotel.
Take a 4-hour guided walking tour of Kampala, exploring the city centre, vibrant local markets, and key national landmarks. Visit the Kisenyi slum with a local volunteer to learn about the lives of refugees and homeless children. End the tour with a visit to Lubiri Palace and the National Mosque, gaining insight into Uganda’s royal and religious history.
After breakfast the day is free until the transfer to Entebbe airport to board your flight to the UK.
