Explore Kenya's best national parks, combining some superb scenery and wildlife. Visit the famous Masai Mara national park. Fly to Nairobi.
On arrival, transfer to Aberdares Country Club for lunch. In the afternoon, continue to The Ark, a unique lodge in the Aberdare forests overlooking floodlit waterholes and saltlicks that attract elephants, rhinos, leopards, bushbucks, and bongos.
After breakfast we drive north to reach Samburu Game Reserve. On arrival, check in at Samburu Simba Lodge. Afternoon game drives allow you to explore this beautiful and game-abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. The park is also renowned for its big cats, as the nearby Ewaso Nyiro River attracts many leopards.
Early morning game drive. Then in the late afternoon we head out on a nature walk, discovering animals and plants.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru in the Great Rift Valley, famous for its vast flocks of pink flamingos and as a sanctuary for rhinos. The park also hosts colobus monkeys, leopards, giraffes, and various antelope. Arrive and check in at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive along the lakeshore.
After breakfast drive via Narok to the Masai Mara National Reserve, offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same superabundance as existed a century ago. Arrive with an en route game drive to check in at Mara Serena Safari Lodge. After lunch, take a short siesta before embarking on an afternoon game drive.
After breakfast we leave for a full-day game drive to Masai Mara Game (Wildlife) Reserve. Full of life with various types of animals and birds, Masai Mara crowns the climax of every safari in Kenya. Masai Mara is home to the "Big Five" (Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Rhino) and over 450 bird species.
After an early breakfast, we leave for a morning game drive. Then transfer to Nairobi and check in at the hotel Sarova Stanley.
After breakfast, visit Nairobi National Park to spot lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, ostriches, and more. This 117 sq km park, uniquely located near a major city, features open grass plains, acacia bushland, highland dry forest, and a riverine forest.
After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park, famous for its vast open plains and views of Mt Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, check in at Ol Tukai Lodge, and do an afternoon game drive to see some serious elephant herds, crystal blue springs and – if the day is clear – the snowcapped peak of Kilimanjaro. The wildlife includes lions, giraffes, leopards, zebras, cheetahs, baboons, hyenas, hippos, and many more.
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive at 6.30am, when you have the best chance to see the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Afternoon game drive.
After breakfast we enter the Tsavo West National Park in the mid-morning and commence game viewing in search of elephants, giraffe, zebra, ostrich, lions, eland, kudu, gazelle, etc. Then we check in at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge. Later we proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive with a visit to the rhino sanctuary.
Tsavo West National Park offers magnificent scenery and a rich variety of flora and fauna. Highlights include black rhino, cape buffalo, elephant, leopard and Masai lion. This morning enjoy a game drive in the park, including a visit to Mzima Springs with its underwater viewing holes. Following lunch at the lodge, continue to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary for the rest of the afternoon at your leisure, viewing game from the lodge’s underground hide or from the lodge balconies.
After an early breakfast and morning game drive, then, we drive to Mombasa. On arrival in Mombasa you will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa.
