All the while, cruise on the gleaming waters of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, and connect with local cultures that have flourished for centuries. Continue your Peru travel adventure to the awe-inspiring Colca Canyon—one of the world’s deepest canyons—where you can witness the flight of the majestic Andean condors as they soar above the stunning gorge. Our tours in Peru cater to all travellers and give the remarkable experiences they were looking for, whether it be culture, adventure, or natural beauty. Let us turn your dream Peru holiday into reality.
Fly to Lima. On arrival in Lima, you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Casa Andina Private Collection.
After breakfast, take a half-day excursion of the Colonial and Modern Lima Tour. This fascinating excursion offers a perfect blend of pre-Hispanic, colonial, and contemporary elements, allowing you to fully appreciate the city's rich and diverse history—a true highlight of any holiday in Lima Peru. This Lima peru tour will take you to Huaca Pucllana, a magnificent ceremonial and administrative site built in the 4th century AD and considered by the Incas as an aupallaqta, or 'sacred village'. You will see the historical centre: Paseo de la Republica, San Martin Square, and Government Palace. We also visit the Museum of the Banco Central de Reserva, a beautiful building hosting Peru's treasures. The Peru tour continues through modern Lima: El Olivar in San Isidro, Miraflores' Central Park and Larco Mar.
We visit the sacred citadel of Pachacamac, an essential place on any trip to Peru. These Peruvian tours will take you to this sacred and ceremonial centre, where pilgrims in the early Christian era came to make offerings and consult the Oracle of Pachacamac, believed to possess the power to see into the past and future. You will visit the pyramids, temples and precincts built by pre-Colombian cultures, including the Incas. The Temples of the Sun and of the Virgins of the Sun (Acllahuasi) are part of the archaeological park.
After breakfast we take a midday flight to Arequipa. Arequipa, Peru's second largest city, was listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 2000. It is also known as 'The White City' because many of its churches and colonial mansions are built from the white ashlar volcanic stone. On arrival, check in at Casa Andina Private Collection.
After breakfast, we take an excursion to Colca Canyon, a breathtaking destination that is often a highlight of any visit to Peru. Drive through the spectacular landscapes of the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, beneath the looming presence of Ampato Volcano, on the way to your lodge set deep within the canyon. On arrival at Colca, check in at hotel Las Casitas del Colca. Then we visit the area that presents beautiful typical towns, like Yanque & Maca, colonial churches, gentle people with typical needlework dresses, and hundreds of pre-Inca terraces still in use with Andean crops like corn, quinua, and kiwicha, among others. This enriching cultural and scenic experience is a must for any well-rounded Peru travel itinerary.
An early start to the edge of the canyon, one mile above the river, where it is possible to see condors rise on the thermals and glide past, only metres away. This lookout is one of few places in the world that offers the chance to see these birds at such close quarters. Then we drive to Puno. On arrival, check in at hotel Casa Andina Private Collection.
Enjoy this amazing experience on Lake Titicaca, a must-see destination for anyone planning holidays in Peru. This tour includes a visit to the floating islands of the Uros and Taquile Island, two highlights of many well-curated Peru tours. The Uros Islands, located east of Puno, are made entirely of totora reeds and rise about six metres above the water. They are anchored by logs and connected to each other by ropes. They still keep the ancient traditions and community living, with their activities being fishing and handicrafts. We continue our Peru tours to Taquile Island, which has two characteristics: the spectacular views from its hills and its standing as a first-rate textile centre. The local people (Taquilenos) live on their textile activities. This is noticeable as the men, walking in their rubber sandals ('ojotas' in Quechua), still wear black trousers, white flannel shirts and beautiful, finely woven chumpis (belts), with their heads covered by finely knitted 'chullos' (caps with ear flaps). This is an ancient civilisation that continues living the traditions and laws of the Incas.
Enjoy this half-day tour to the Sillustani Towers, a magical site that offers a deeply spiritual and energetic experience. This archaeological area is located 34 km north of Puno city and is a highlight among the most enriching day tours in Peru. We will visit the magical tombs called Chullpas, which are big burial monuments built in tower forms by the Collas Indians. The Chullpas were built by the Aymara-speaking Collas, a tribe that dominated the Titicaca region before the Incas. Sillustani is located on a peninsula in the beautiful Umayo Lagoon, and these constructions have a height of more than 12 metres each.
Early in the morning, we depart for Cusco, continuing an unforgettable journey through the Andes—an essential part of travelling in Peru. Along the way, we visit the Stone Museum of Pukara, which showcases the legacy of the first major civilisation in the Andean region. Next, we ascend to La Raya (4,400 m), the highest point between Puno and Cusco, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains. A buffet lunch will be served during a relaxing stop in Sicuani. Later we’ll visit Wiracocha’s Temple in Raqchi, a huge temple dedicated to a main Inca god. Before reaching Cusco, we’ll visit Andahuaylillas Church, where we’ll see the indoctrination of the Andean people. Finally, at 5:00 pm, we will be arriving in Cusco. Overnight stay at hotel Casa Andina Private Collection – Cusco. This rich day of cultural exploration is a perfect addition to Cusco Peru holidays and a highlight of the best Cusco tours Peru has to offer.
Enjoy this fantastic experience on a Sacred Valley Peru tour, a region that was obviously central to Inca civilisation. This full-day tour is perfect for travellers seeking cultural depth and scenic beauty during their holidays to Peru. We start this full-day tour with a visit to the market at Pisac Town, where you can buy typical Peruvian handicrafts at the best prices. After lunch, we explore the impressive Inca village and fortress of Ollantaytambo. A steep stone staircase leads into the fortress, opening onto an esplanade with a temple containing ten niches and, nearby, a block of partially unworked stone. Beyond another esplanade stand six huge rectangular monoliths (weighing approximately 50 tonnes) from the Temple of the Sun. Vestiges of rooms are seen on top, and on the other side of the hill, a four-storey building can be seen, which was either a military school or a prison. In the afternoon, we visit the town of Chinchero, built on the foundations of a major Inca site from the late 1400s. Rich in history and tradition, this stop offers a memorable glimpse into the enduring legacy of the Inca Empire—an essential experience on many Peru tours.
After breakfast we visit the impressive sites of Maras, a complex of salt exploitation, and Moray, an important centre of Inca agricultural research on crops. Moray is a huge series of circular terraces worked into the ground; they are natural sinkholes on a limestone plateau overlooking the Urubamba Valley, and local people refer to them as the greenhouse of the Incas. We then continue to the nearby age-old terrace salt mines and ponds that sit below the colonial town of Maras; this is simply an outstanding sight.
Start the day by rising early and enjoying a scenic train ride to the Peruvian town of Aguas Calientes. From there, transfer to a bus for a brief journey to the much-visited archaeological site of Machu Picchu. Built at the height of the Inca Empire, this extraordinary site is widely believed to have served as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacutec—a true highlight of any trip to Machu Picchu Peru. Your guide will provide insightful historical background of this impressive site while you spend the morning walking around the ruins. After the tour you will have free time to explore the complex at your own pace. Recognised globally as one of the best places to travel in Peru, Machu Picchu offers an unforgettable blend of history, architecture, and panoramic vistas. At 4 pm it's time to make the return journey back to Cusco. Board the train once again and ride back to the city, leaving behind the magnetic heritage of mighty Machu Picchu.
After breakfast, kick off your historical Cusco tour with a visit to the San Pedro market, which at an altitude of 3,400m, is one of the highest in the world. Talk about starting the morning on top of the world! On this day tour you'll visit key Incan highlights to experience Cusco at the grassroots level. Start at the vibrant San Pedro local market. Then head out of town to explore two major Inca sites, Sacsayhuaman and Q'enqo. Practice your language skills and bargain for snacks. Visit the amazing Sacsayhuaman & Q'enqo. Enjoy breathtaking views over Cusco. Descend back to Cusco, exploring charming Inca streets.
After breakfast the day is free for your own leisure and other activities. Then in the afternoon transfer to Cusco airport to board your flight to Lima and then connect to a flight to the UK. Overnight flight.
