Tailored Rwanda Holidays Just for You

Rwanda is one of Africa’s most beautiful destinations. It’s famed for its dramatic mountainous landscapes and incredible wildlife, amongst which is some of the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas. The scenery in Rwanda is a gorgeous blend of tumbling mountain peaks, lush bamboo forests, huge volcanoes, idyllic lakes and unspoiled hilly rainforest. Nature lovers will undoubtedly visit Rwanda for the gorillas but stay a while longer to catch glimpses of the big five (lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard) in the Akagera national park, in-between visits to Kigali - Rwanda’s surprisingly cosmopolitan capital, and the country’s many areas of natural beauty.

When to Visit

Best Time to Travel to Rwanda

The best time to visit Rwanda is during the dry season, which runs from June to September. This is when you have the best chance of seeing the country's famous mountain gorillas, which are frequently the main attraction of Rwandan tours. Because of the improved visibility in the forests, the rainy seasons (March to May and November) are thought to be the best month to visit Rwanda for chimpanzee tracking, despite the fact that they are quieter. Because of its equatorial location, Rwanda enjoys a pleasant warm climate all year round, with daytime highs in the late teens to mid-twenties and cool nights, particularly in higher elevation areas.
