After early breakfast we drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which apart from its abundant bird life, is famous for its tree-climbing lions. On arrival check in at hotel Mayara Serena Lodge .After lunch enjoy a game drive. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large waterbirds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks. Today after early breakfast, check out and drive to Serengeti National Park. On arrival check in at Serengeti Serena Lodge. Serengeti plains: the endless, almost treeless grassland of the south is the most emblematic scenery of the park. This is where the wildebeest breed, as they remain in the plains from December to May. Other hoofed animals - zebra, gazelle, impala, hartebeest, topi, buffalo, waterbuck - also occur in huge numbers during the wet season. "Kopjes" are granite florations that are very common in the region, and they are great observation posts for predators, as well as a refuge for hyrax and pythons. Afternoon enjoy a game drive to return early before sunset.
You will spend one full day game driving in Serengeti National Park that gets it's name from the Maasai word Siringitu, meaning endless Plain. Located in the rift valley, the park is abound with geological formations and landscapes. The national park covers an area of 14800 square kilometers and is home to 3 millions animals. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing incredible. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions.
Today after breakfast, check out and drive back to Ngorongoro with a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge, pre-historic site to arrive early for check-in followed by lunch. On arrival check in at Ngorogoro Serena Lodge . The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) has a healthy resident population of most species of wildlife. The Ndutu Lake area to in the west of the NCA has particularly strong cheetah and lion population.
Today after early breakfast, descend to the crater floor for a day in the Ngorongoro Crater. This protected area is located in the Great Rift Valley. The Crater actually is a gigantic fracture of the earth's crust. The magnificent landscape consists of volcanoes, mountains, plains, lakes, forests and archaeological sites. At 1600 meters altitude the bottom of the Crater (265 km square), dotted with watering holes, offers shelter to almost 30.000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. The Crater elephants are strangely, mainly bulls. There is a small number of black rhino. The bird life is largely seasonal and is also affected by the ratio of soda and fresh water on the Crater floor. You will also explore the wildlife: lions, elephants, zebra, hippo, buffalos, and rhino are just a few to be mentioned. Picnic lunch at the crater floor. After an exciting day of safari, you will return to the lodge early for dinner.
After breakfast we depart for the Tarangire National Park. On arrival check in at Tarangire Simba lodge. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch we do an afternoon game drive.
After breakfast transfer to Kilimnajaro airport to board your flight to uk.
